Already purchased — why is it asking me to pay again?
If DoseAlert is asking you to pay even though you already bought it, you just need to tap Restore purchases.
What's happening
When DoseAlert is freshly installed, it doesn't know about any previous purchase. The one-time unlock is tied to your App Store or Google Play account, so DoseAlert has to check with the store to know you've already bought it.
Step 1 — Sign in with the right account
Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID (iPhone) or Google Play account (Android) that you used for the original purchase.
- iPhone: Settings > your name at the top > check it matches.
- Android: Open Google Play > profile icon > check the account listed.
Step 2 — Tap Restore purchases
- Open DoseAlert.
- Go to Settings > Restore purchases.
- Wait a few seconds. DoseAlert asks the store whether you have a lifetime unlock. If you do, the app unlocks immediately.
Step 3 — If it says "No purchase found"
- Confirm you're on the right Apple ID or Google account — not a family member's.
- On Android, make sure Google Play is up to date.
- On iPhone, sign out and back into the App Store once, then retry.
- Check the original purchase in your receipts (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Android: Google Play > Account > Purchase history).
Family Sharing
On iPhone, if the purchase was made by another family member and they enabled Family Sharing, the unlock should work for you too. If it's not showing up, ask the purchaser to confirm Family Sharing is on in their App Store settings.
Promo code
If you received a promo code, enter it in Settings > Redeem a code. Promo codes unlock the app at no cost. Each code can be redeemed once per account.
Last resort
If none of the above works, email support@moosemediafsj.ca with the email address associated with your App Store or Google Play account and the approximate date you purchased. We can look up the transaction and help you restore.
