Tutorial — Export a report for your doctor
Before a doctor's appointment, DoseAlert can generate a printable report showing exactly what you've taken and when.
Two formats
- PDF report — looks good on paper or on screen. Best if your doctor just wants to glance through your history.
- CSV spreadsheet — rows and columns of data. Best if someone wants to analyse or chart your adherence.
Step 1 — Open the Pill Tracker
Tap the Pill Tracker tab at the bottom of the screen.
Step 2 — Tap the share icon
In the top-right corner of the Pill Tracker screen, tap the share icon.
Step 3 — Pick PDF or CSV
Choose the format you want. DoseAlert generates the file on your device.
Step 4 — Save or send
The phone's share sheet opens. Options include:
- Email it to yourself or the clinic
- Save to Files, iCloud Drive, or Google Drive
- Send via Messages or WhatsApp
- Print directly
What's in the PDF report
- A list of every active medication, with dose, form, and schedule
- A dose-log history for the selected period, grouped by day
- Adherence summary — how many doses you took, skipped, missed
- Any notes you added to medications
The report is designed to fit on one or two pages per month so it's not overwhelming.
What's in the CSV
- One row per dose
- Columns: date, time scheduled, time taken (if recorded), medication, dose amount, status, notes
Exporting just one medication
DoseAlert currently exports everything in one report. If you only want one medication, open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets and filter the medication name column.
Printing at a clinic
If the clinic doesn't accept digital copies, either print the PDF at home first or AirDrop / email it to their reception desk so they can print on site.
